About the Role

Infront is looking for a Director of IT Development to oversee its development teams in Oslo. In this varied and exciting senior position, we are looking for a strong leader and manager of people; we value technical expertise combined with excellent leadership skills!

In this role, you will lead and supervise teams of highly skilled developers, supporting them throughout the development process, hire new staff and inspire your team to professional and personal growth.

You will be reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer. As a member of the Development Management Team, and in close cooperation with other teams and peers in the company, you will work actively to improve the efficiency in our development and delivery process, ensuring that Infront continues to build software that exceeds market expectations and supports our growth.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive our roadmap for technology to ensure stability, performance and flexibility in our deliveries
  • Supervise and support the teams in their day-to-day tasks
  • Regular personnel management including reporting, scheduling and management of costs
  • Performance appraisals and personal development planning / follow-up
  • Hire new developers and shape the team to match current and future demands

Who you are

  • Degree in software engineering, computer science or business administration
  • Knowledge of, and experience with all aspects of agile software development of complex applications, from inception to testing and deployment
  • Knowledge or experience in the financial markets/ financial industry is an advantage
  • Management experience; min 5 years of leading large software development teams
  • Solid commercial acumen
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong English skills, spoken and written. Norwegian would be a definite plus
