As a Head of Customer Project Delivery you will lead a team of 10+ professional across multiple sub-teams, driving the delivery of high-quality consulting projects within the financial markets domain. Your primary responsibility will be to combine hands-on project management, domain expertise, and team leadership to ensure that your team operates efficiently and effectively, aligning with client needs and organisational goals. You will oversee the structuring and development of the team, support professional growth, and maintain close interaction with customers on key projects. This role demands strong management skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to foster a professional and collaborative work environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the consulting services function, contributing to strategic decisions, and ensuring successful project outcomes in a dynamic and evolving market. About the Role

Key responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of consultants, customer success managers, and reporting specialists.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective resource planning and skills development aligned with business goals.

Customer Project Delivery

  • Oversee and ensure high-quality delivery of onboarding projects for new customers.
  • Manage change requests and ongoing projects for existing customers with clear scope, timeline, and quality control.
  • Act as escalation point for complex projects and critical issues.
  • Take a hands-on role in strategic or high-impact customer projects.

Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement 

  • Support the sales team in pre-sales activities, including scoping, effort estimation, and presenting delivery approaches. 
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and act as a trusted advisor on delivery, adoption, and value realization. 

Process & Governance 

  • Establish and continuously improve project delivery methodologies, standards, and tools. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external governance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive efficiency, scalability, and repeatability in delivery processes. 

Strategic Contribution 

  • Provide input to Business Unit management on delivery strategy, resourcing, and product/service improvements. 
  • Translate customer needs and project learnings into actionable feedback for product and business development. 
  • Report on delivery KPIs and customer success outcomes to senior leadership. 

 

Who you are

 

  • You have deep understanding of the wealth management industry, including processes, regulations, and client expectations.
  • Proven track record in software implementation, professional services, and customer project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMP.
  • Experience leading or managing teams, ideally in cross-functional or multi-disciplinary settings.
  • Extensive background in managing customer projects, including large-scale or complex engagements.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to actively contribute to delivery activities when required.
  • Strong customer orientation with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical, structured, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Fluent in English; German and/or other European languages are a plus.
