Infront's partner company, Assetmax, a leading Swiss-based fintech specializing in wealth management software for asset managers, family offices, and banks, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Head/Lead of Data Management. This pivotal leadership position plays a crucial role in overseeing and advancing the data management function within the organization, combining a strong grasp of financial business logic with exceptional leadership skills.

This position can be based in Zurich or Lugano.

As the Head/Lead of Data Management, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the strategic vision for data management. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Strategic Leadership:
   • Develop and execute a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with Assetmax's business objectives.
   • Provide visionary leadership to the data management team, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
2. Financial Understanding:
   • Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial rationale and business logic in the context of data management.
   • Leverage financial expertise to optimize data management processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
3. Team Management:
   • Lead and manage a team of Data Management Specialists and Backoffice Administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
   • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
   • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes.
4. External Stakeholder Management:
   • Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, vendors, and contractors involved in data management initiatives.
   • Collaborate with external entities to ensure seamless integration of data processes and systems.
5. Reconciliation and Portfolio Oversight:
   • Oversee the reconciliation of portfolio management mandates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
   • Address and resolve portfolio data-related issues, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of asset classes, derivatives, and structured products.
6. Client Support and Communication:
   • Serve as the high-level contact for client inquiries, offering expert guidance on reconciliation and data-related matters.
   • Uphold and enhance the company's service quality and communication policies.
7. Process Optimization:
   • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance data management processes.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimize the use of technology.

To excel in this leadership role, you should possess:

• Proven experience in mid- or back-office roles, with a minimum of 3+ years in a relevant position.
• Proven experience in having lead teams and projects in the realm of financial data.
• In-depth knowledge of securities, portfolio management, and financial instruments.
• A banking apprenticeship or background, coupled with experience in buy-side wealth or asset management reconciliation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and a positive, patient attitude.
• Outstanding communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in a professional manner.
