With a clear commercial growth strategy in place, we are accelerating our expansion in the German market. To strengthen our market position and drive sustainable revenue growth, we are looking for an experienced business development and sales professional to play a key role in this next phase.
As Senior Sales Manager, you will win new clients and expand existing relationships across online brokers, universal banks, asset managers and FinTech’s in Germany. This is a consultative, value-driven sales role that requires a deep understanding of client business models and the ability to position our products, such as data feeds, display solutions, RegTech, and quantitative solutions as strategic enablers.
You will combine proactive hunting with strategic account development, managing complex sales cycles and engaging senior stakeholders. The role includes travel across Germany for client meetings, industry events, conferences, and trade fairs. A background in financial markets is not mandatory, but a strong interest in the industry and experience selling data-driven or market data solutions would be a strong advantage. You will, of course, get support from our customer-facing unit, which combines an empathic sales team with experienced customer success and pre-sales specialists to help you and your clients to navigate through the sales process.
As Senior Sales Manager, you will:
- Proactively drive new business acquisition in Germany, building and converting a strong pipeline of business opportunities
- Develop strategic relationships with decision-makers at online brokers, universal banks, asset managers and FinTech’s
- Lead complex, consultative sales processes from initial outreach through negotiation and closing
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue growth
- Position data feeds, display solutions, RegTech, and quantitative solutions based on a deep understanding of client needs
- Manage RFP processes and coordinate closely with pre-sales, product, IT, and legal teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Represent the company in the market through client visits, industry events, conferences, and trade fairs across Germany
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and CRM documentation
- You have 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within financial markets, data, fintech, or technology
- You have a hunter mentality with a track record in new business acquisition
- You posses strong consultative selling skills and ability to explain complex data-driven solutions
- You have experience managing longer and multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- You posses excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills at decision-maker level
- You are fluent in German and English
