About Infront

At Infront, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace, recognizing our diverse team as one of our most valuable assets.

For 25 years, Infront has been empowering financial market experts to make faster, smarter, compliant decisions. Over time, we have expanded our foundation by bringing together companies with more than 75 years of combined market experience and trust.

Our strength lies in market data, delivering reliable, accurate information through a powerful suite of tools, spanning Data Intelligence, Wealth Management solutions, and Trading & Investor solutions, that our users depend on every day. Today, we are one of Europe’s leading providers of market data and financial software, helping professionals navigate markets with confidence and speed.

About the Role

We are looking for a Financial News Reporter to join Infront’s own news agency, Nyhetsbyrån Direkt, which covers the most influential economic and political developments affecting the Swedish financial markets. In this role, you will report on monetary and fiscal policy, macroeconomic indicators, political decisions, labour market trends, and other market‑moving events both in Sweden and internationally.

This is a role for someone who is confident working independently and is driven by journalistic curiosity. You will be expected to take initiative, identify relevant angles, develop your own story ideas, and carry out much of the research and groundwork yourself. You will often manage your coverage area autonomously and be a central contributor to our newsroom’s daily output.

This is a full-time role with standard working hours 08:00–17:00, including one early-morning shift per week to cover key data releases and macro updates.

*Note: A cover letter in Swedish is mandatory for your application to be considered due to the language requirement of the role. Please submit your CV in English since we are an international team that will review your application.

As our Financial News Reporter, you will:

  • Report on macroeconomic developments, central bank decisions, fiscal policy, labour market data, political events and market‑moving news
  • Independently identify story ideas, angles, and topics based on data releases, policy developments, and market trends
  • Write timely, accurate, and well-crafted articles in Swedish
  • Conduct thorough research, analyse data, and review policy documents and economic reports
  • Monitor economic indicators and market developments throughout the day
  • Contribute to both fast news coverage and deeper analytical pieces
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the newsroom while also working confidently on your own
  • Stay prepared for and manage high‑intensity periods such as macro releases, political announcements, and central bank meetings

Who you are

You thrive in a dynamic news environment where accuracy, initiative, and sound judgement matter. You combine journalistic skill with a strong interest in macroeconomics and financial markets.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Education in journalism and/or previous journalistic experience
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in Swedish
  • Very good proficiency in English
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Accuracy, responsibility, and a proactive mindset
  • The ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • An interest in financial markets and macroeconomic developments
  • Confidence working independently, as you will often manage tasks on your own

Our offer

Health & wellness: Benefit from wellbeing initiatives tailored to local needs, including access to an employee assistance programme that provides confidential support to employees and their families.
Holiday: Enjoy competitive holiday entitlement aligned with local markets, so you can rest and recharge.
Pension: Plan for your long-term financial wellbeing through our pension scheme, supported by employer contributions.
Remote work: Enjoy the opportunity to work two days a week from home, with flexible working hours where possible. You may also request to work up to four weeks per year from a different location.
Learning & development: Support your career progression with access to learning resources, ongoing conversations with your manager, and opportunities to share the knowledge you gain with your team.
Culture & impact: Be part of an international team with a startup mindset and play a key role in making a meaningful impact.
Our offices: Work from Europe’s leading financial centers and be at the heart of where finance happens.
